Me? Bahamas and Europe. A regular HGVC (not by Hilton Club) Midwestern resort would be nice too.

Where would you like to see HGVC expand to?

+1 Caribbean as @dayooper said. Also San Francisco plus another ski in/out resort in Breckenridge, Whistler and/or Vail to keep up availability with expansion of the network.

I like HGVC reservations and would like to stay in-system as much as possible (Europe would be nice but not a must - we tend to stay in city hotels so can use hotel points) and can trade cash getaways or points in II or RCI as a proxy for maintenance fees without the ongoing requirements of owning to get some of these other locations.

Maui is off the list as we got tired of waiting and bought Westin/Marriott resale.

I would like to see HGVC expand to...
1. Caribbean (other than STT or PR)
2. Caribbean (another island)
3. Yellowstone/Tetons/ S Utah
4. Europe
5. Maui/Kauai
6. Some other tropical location (Fiji, French Poly, Maldives)

Since I also own Wyndham the following don't interest me, as Wyndham is already well represented there:
1. New Orleans
2. Smoky Mountains
3. Nashville
4. Sedona

There’s some good ideas in your responses! Never thought of a resort around Yellowstone/Grand Teton. That would be high on my list too! Key West would be fun too. I have never been there, but I have friends that used to go all the time. They had a blast. Fiji would be great too. I think a Napa Valley would be fun as well.

I'm still surprised they've done nothing to approach the Caribbean market, especially now that they are publicly traded (and alot of their analysts and investors would be New York based, and like the Caribbean). They have to hear the question from them during meetings??? Time will tell...

Best,

Greg

Good question!
I like the idea of Whistler, Yellowstone, Sedona, French Polynesia and Caribbean too. Maybe Aruba, Curacao.
In Europe: France, provence area.

I don't care. I don't want to go anywhere except New York (with Hilton - lots of other timeshares).

I'm down with almost anywhere as long as it's a HGVC property (and not Hilton Club). If you had to twist my arm, the Caribbean and Smokey Mountains would be my pick. San Diego would be #3.

(My list, in no particular order):

1. Nashville
2. Whistler (please HGVC - get the old Club Intrawest property from Embarc - it is a great ski destination!)
3. Bahamas
4. Aruba
5. Boston
6. Steamboat Springs (more ski destinations!)
7. London

My wish list would be primarily for areas where they have little or no representation today:

1. Caribbean (anywhere with a beach)
2. Europe
3. Canada
4. Florida (beachfront on the Atlantic or Gulf coasts)
5. Arizona
6. Texas coast or
7. Oceania (Australia, New Zealand, S/E Asia)

Maui would be big with us. Touristy as it is, I'd prefer Kaanapali over Kihei, but either would work. Some of the other suggestions are very nice as well, but this would be our #1.

Cheers.

My favorite ideas would be:
1). Maui/Kaui
2). Caribbean
3). Oahu other than Waikiki,
4). Smoky Mountains

But to be honest, I just like it when the expand and add new resorts anywhere..

Could they please just stop building where they already are.

And they've been promising a Maui timeshare since I purchased my first Hilton timeshare in 1999.

I thought this was a fun excersise in what we want. I have compiled a list to see were the most popular new destinations would be. I have combined some more specific places into larger groupings. Areas like the Caribbean and ski destinations are combined. Without further ado, here they are:

Caribbean - 13
Maui/Kauai - 9
Europe - 8
Ski Resort - 4 (Whistler was the popular choice)
Yellowstone/Grand Teton - 4
Smokey Mountains - 3
Nashville - 3
SE Asia/Oceania/New Zealand/Australia - 3
Anywhere (not by Hilton Club) - 3
Key West - 3
Sedona - 2
NE Florida/Florida Beach - 2
Canada - 2
San Diego - 2

The rest of these had one vote

Midwest
San Franscisco
New Orleans
Coastal Maine
North Carolina Mountains
Asia
New York
Anaheim
Boston
Arizona
Texas Coast
Pacific NW
Not where they currently are

If someone adds more votes, I will update the list. If you think I should combine more, or separate some, let me know.
