We have an exchange to Hyatt Beach House May 28 to June4. Question 1) Will we be charged a resort fee? If so, how much? 2) I've read the transportation issues, no shuttle, expensive parking downtown, how much are taxis? Is there still a trolley type system that runs around the area? If so, does it come anywhere near HBH?

Thanks in advance! I searched the forums but did not see the answers to the above.

If you are on an exchange there should not be any fees other than parking. If you are on a cash Getaway or Accomodation Certificate the resort fees apply.

Bus schedule:

We are checking in on May 14th, may rent bikes also, the concierge can arrange it with delivery.

Thanks, we are on an exchange but are not Hyatt owners. Does that make a difference? Glad to hear no resort fees. We will be renting a car in either Ft. Lauderdale or Miami whichever we fly into. Will be paying parking. Bus looks doable as long as taking a while for stops is not an issue. Probably better than driving and parking. I guess there is a stop in reasonable walking distance to Hyatt beach house? Looks like it well covers the key.

When I exchanged into Hyatt beach house there were no extra fees, parking was free.

The buses are a few blocks from the resort, 5-15 minute walk based on how fast you walk. If you are going to use it a few days, a weekly pass is available at a discounted rate.

Driving into town is easy, you can find parking at about $20 a day.

We used bikes, rented for the week.Price is very reasonable. It is a good way to get downtown and safe, mostly bike paths. Note though, if you
ride at night there are a few areas where you would need a bike light. We made that mistake .
