HGVC says it is abiding by the mandatory evacuation (a/k/a closing)
-- Anderson Ocean Club and Ocean 22 in Myrtle Beach
-- Ocean Oak in Hilton Head... (apparently still open).

The evacuation for Hilton Head was cancelled. My neighbors, who had started home, went back. It looks like they will be fine, though maybe not getting in as much beach time as they hoped.

Our Myrtle Beach vacation was supposed to start next Saturday, Sept 22. Is it safe to assume that I should start looking to vacation elsewhere? Up until now, I was being optimistic.

I would call and ask.
Even if it's open, they'd prolly be willing to cancel w/o penalty... if you want.

BTW, I too will be vacationing next week... in Orlando.
