Some time back I read an entry about deeding ownership to a Montana outfit with a unique approach to donating a timeshare with very low cost. I think it was run by a lawyer. I am very interrested in finding that contact however, I have searched exhaustively and cannot locate it.

If anyone knows anything about this, please help me.

Thanks, TJ38:wave:

I believe Donate For A Cause is out of Montana.

Much has been written about and by them.

Use the search function on the blue bar above to get some info on them.

There are probably better and cheaper ways to unload your timeshare. If you're a regular visitor here you will have read how many of us have advertised and sold or given away our unwanted timeshares.

But if only it were true...

...One could buy a never ending string of $1 timeshares on ebay, maybe even from DFAC, then "donate" them back to DFAC for a huge charitable deduction. If one were to cherry pick the free usage $1 timeshares, one could end up with free vacations and no income taxes (Yes, you would still have the "fees" to donate, but you get the point).

If the above action would land you in prison, and it most certainly could, why would one or two deals be legitimate?

This is why it just ain't so...
