How do I use RCI points to book a rental car?

When I follow the links on RCI's site and perform a search, then choose which company and class of car I'd like, I just get to a page that says "Your credit card will be charged $29.52 USD" (or whatever the amount is). Do I need to click that button to be offered the opportunity to pay with points? The language on their site makes it sound like clicking the Checkout button will immediately charge the card that is on file.

You have to click on it under points partner under benefits.

It took me awhile to figure out to, but I have rented several using points. You will only be charged $25 exchange fee for the rental

You do know that is a very poor use of your points and not a good value?

Thank you Breezez. That's the process I'm using, but I don't see any way to use points. It says I have 25,000 points available for partners in the header, but when I try to book the car rental, I'm never presented the opportunity to apply points. It just gives me a total in dollars. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any chance you could show me screenshots of the correct process, or spell it out for me? Sorry if I'm being dense.

And thank you Jan, I'm aware that it's a poor value. But these points are expiring next month and I've already booked all the trips I can take.
