HIVC Owner getaway week rentals

Hi everyone, new here. We own at HIVC Orange Lake and actually use and enjoy it. Tonight i got a call from a guy saying we had 6 “Getaway weeks” that were about to expire and that we could rent them if we wanted. He said we could rent them ourselves, or for $299 a week they guaranteed that they could rent each one for $1900 a week. Has anyone ever done this?

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
it's a common scam. They aren't renting anything out (and wouldn't be allowed to even if they were). They just want you $299 per week and you will get nothing back.
