going to Valordo resort week of Dec 9, 2018. We got a 2br plus unit. Is there any particular view to request for, that is better than some?

The units are ground level not much view. The plus factor is your personal BBQ and hot tub on your deck.

For the town side do you have a view of the mountain. So the resort is all ground level units.

The resort has several floors. I believe that particular comment was thinking that the plus units are the units with their own hot tub and grill. If that’s true you’ll have a ground floor unit looking towards the neighborhood behind the resort. But I’m not certain what a constitutes a plus unit at this resort. We’ve only stayed there once and that was is a standard 1 bedroom unit which ended up being one of their accessible units, so not necessarily a great example of a standard 1 bedroom unit.

From @dougp26364 pictures, there is one which shows the 3 2-Bd Plus units (with hot tubs and grills) on the backside (mountain side). There are also 3 2-Bd Plus units on the town side of the resort. There really isn't a view of the mountain on back-side of the resort except of the next condo units. The town side has a view of the mountains (sorry don't remember that mountain range) which Keystone is on. Like @itradehilton has stated, you will be on the lower level so not great views anyway.

Is HGVC limited to lower level units at this resort?

No, the OP has a 2-bd plus unit which is only on the lower level. I know that there aren't any 3-Bd units on the top floor so I am normally on the 4th floor.

Thanks @GT75 for clarifying. There are some affiliate resorts like the one by the ocean in Carlsbad that seems to limit HGVC owners to bottom floor (non-view) units. I was wondering if this was the case with Valdoro.

Mountain side has a view of a road and a pastel blue row of condos. Town side has a view that includes mountains, but is largely the sister resort the pool is shared with (and you can see the pool), but I prefer the mountain side because town side also has the noise of the front drop-off and cars heading to the garage. Its not a deal-breaker, but if I'm choosing, I'd choose the mountain side.

As noted earlier, the units (I think there are only 8 of them, four front, four back) are on the ground floor because 8 person hot tubs are heavy.
