Is there an up-to-date list of all HGVC resorts vs affiliates?

Take a look at the sticky post at the top of this forum titled "Sticky HGVC Detailed Resort & Affiliated Information", specifically post #7.

Thanks. I was using that, but someone posted that the gulf coast FL resorts are affiliates, not HGVC properties, which seems to conflict with that thread.

So, the stickied thread is accurate?

Its kinda subtle.
Look at where the list says: "Developed" / "Fee for Service" / "Collection."
Those are the words HGVC uses to distinguish it's relationship with each.
Use of the term "collection" tells you that it's an affiliate.

BTW, the SW Florida affiliates predate HGVC.
They were added at a time when HGVC only had Seaworld & Flamingo.

I know all southwest Florida hgvc resorts are affiliates, Marco Island, Fort Myer, Sanibel, Captiva and on the east coast Plantation Beach Club at Indian River.

Thanks.
What really are the differences?
1) Can affiliates book online and just as soon?
2) Added annual, or one-time fee?
3) Extra fee or limitations in changing, cancelling, etc...?
4) Could they potentially be dropped by HGVC?

1) Can affiliates book online and just as soon?
Revised:
As an enrolled owner, you have the same online access to HGVC
inventory with the same booking windows as all other members.
You just cancel or decline your week to use the points instead.

SW Florida affiliates as they do not allow themselves to be booked
online. Bay Club, Hawaii, is online (treated like a true HGVC resort).
Their booking windows are the same as other "true" HGVC resorts.
Availability is more limited becuz their owners tend to stay "home."

2) Added annual, or one-time fee?
The fees are the same as HGVC fees, but enrollment is voluntary.
You pay an activation fee, annual club-dues, and MF's set by the resort.

3) Extra fee or limitations in changing, cancelling, etc...?
The booking fees, changeability and cancellation penalties are the same.
However, offline affiliates require a phone call, so higher call rates apply.

4) Could they potentially be dropped by HGVC?
HGVC will not drop an affiliate. They need the cachet of more locations.
A couple of affiliates terminated management agreements w/HGVC.
HGVC retaliated by disallowing new HGVC enrollments from them.

----------------------------------------------
*One affiliate HGVC rep told me that they don't want to encourage
short-week bookings that online reservations would bring.

1) Not sure on some of the other affiliates, but there is a thread on how the SW Florida affiliates don’t have online booking. Most, if not all of their platinum weeks are fixed and the owners would need to let the association that they aren’t using their week.

2) I believe that, with the exception of MarBrisa, that you would pay the same activation fee ($599) as any other resale purchase. The club dues are the same. If I am wrong, please correct.

3) The only difference is that with some affiliates you have to call the resort and let them know you are changing your fixed week to points. Otherwise, you are HGVC club members and have the same rights and privileges as any other member.

4) Yes, but it’s very rare and the HGVC members were grandfathered in.

Just to clarify 1) Can affiliates book online and just as soon? If you own an affiliate and deposit the week you can book on line and just as soon. If you want to book into an affiliate resort you would have to call membership service just like the rest of hgvc members.
