I purchased 45k points on Aug24 at HICV at Orang Lakes . They gave me 90 days to pay $700 down payment. They deferred my payments to start Jan 2019. After paying down payment early and receiving info on what was available I realized what a mistake I made. Is there anything that I can do to get out of this situation even though the rescission time have passed?

If it were me, I would probably just "walk away" and take the credit bureau hit. Then, write a letter explaining your error, to provide when needed.

"Walk away" is the next easiest thing since you have missed the recession deadline.

Close the credit card/ account that the next payments are going to come from. Do not accept any of their telephone calls. They will harrass you. Only deal with them by mail. Explain the you've lost your job and cannot meet further obligations. That's it. Repeat ad infinitum.

when you say receiving info on what was available what are you referring to? Availability of rooms and their point costs?
