2 weeks ago while we were on Maui, I think it exceeded records 3 of the 7 days we were there. High humidity and no trade winds. It felt more like the mainland midsection than Hawaii's usual perfect weather. And so it continues. . . . .

Oh that's bad when trade winds die down. And so early too...
I will be in Honolulu visiting my mother in late July-early August, one of the traditionally hottest times of the year.

Meanwhile, Denver usually has temperatures in the high 80's and 90's by now, but the temperatures have stayed in the 70's for much of May and now June. It's been a very cool summer break from school, so far.

Here in South Carolina, Myrtle Beach, we have seen temperatures in the high 70's, low 80's, with clouds but very little rain. I don't know what normal is for Myrtle Beach, but this is cooler than we thought it would be. So grateful for that, being from a dry climate.

It was pretty toasty and humid when we were in Hawaii in mid-late May. I was kind of surprised. The lack of trades was the worst part though.

It was snowing in Lake Tahoe in May, and 70s and raining in Vegas over Memorial Day when it should be in the 90s...very strange weather patterns.

Several years ago when we were on Maui the Trades died for 3 days. It was 3 miserable days. Right now it is 94°F in Salem Oregon and we have not hit the high for today. That is a few hours away.
