Harborside availability thru vistana?

Has anyone had any luck using star options to secure a 2 bedroom villa at Harboside for week 52 at the 8 month window?

I can barely get a 2BR at 1 year in advance. I would think that getting one on options at 8 months would be a near impossibility.

Just checked availability - It's already gone for 2018, and we don't reach the 8 mo. mark until the end of March.

I got incredibly lucky last year and got Thanksgiving week in a 2BR through the wait list a few months out. (Wait list is 4* and 5* only though) I would have alternate plans in place. This would be a very very Loooong shot for week 52.

No not for week 52 or week 51. Even summer weeks, late June-early August, were virtually impossible this year at 8 months.

Thanks. If 8 months is not going to happen, is it a place that opens up a little at the 60 days cancellation deadline?

Unlikely - at 60 days before check-in, Vistana can Hoover up any unreserved dates and put them right in their own rental inventory (at no cost to Vistana), so I don't believe the cancellations ever hit the owner's inventory. I think they go directly into Vistana's pocket.

I would say SO reservations are virtually imposible. I got two units for week 52 this year, back to back, within 60 seconds. Right after that the week 52 were gone. So (from what I could tell) your week 52 resie window was approximately from 12 months to 11 months, 30 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes...you may get lucky from cancellations.

This is still prime season (1-17 ad 51-52) and it is very hard to get. You may get lucky and get a Phase I if someone cancels close to the 8 month mark. Or could get lucky near the 2 months mark.

I think if it is the week before or after Easter it will be impossible. Otherwise difficult but maybe.
