I was looking through destinations in the Mid-Atlantic and came across The Hammocks. There are only two reviews available so I was hoping anyone familiar with the resort or the area could share their experience and whether November or December would be good times to go.

My feeling is that it is an upscale fractional resort and the only time you will see availability for exchange or a reasonably priced getaway is during very undesirable times that no owners want to use or think they can rent out. The area will be virtually dead with most shops and restaurants closed. For the most part you will be reliant on the resort for activates which will be quite limited at that time of year.

If you are looking through II, you will also want to check because often these types of fractional have additional fees on top of the exchange fee. Looking at the trip advisor reviews, you have to pay for parking at the ferry and for the ferry to the island. Once on the island you are a captive audiance and the restaurants are quite high.
