I figured that alcohol was involved. Sounds like they are all having some regrets after the fact.

They were of an age when there's no sense of mortality.
And in many cases, no sense at all.

Not only banned, but put on shore an left to their now devices to get home. Good.

Famous last words: "Hey! You'all watch this ..."

I wonder if there is a "blacklist" shared between cruise lines?

Had the outcome been different, he might have joined Aaron Dibella as a winner due to cruise ship antics.

Death has a way in some cases.

Garrison Keillor had bit where he insisted that northerners were smarter than southerners because snowmobiles on lakes weeded out the "stupid" genes.

At least a Darwin honorable mention. I wonder how he was planning to re-board. Oh, nevermind. He hadn't considered that, or he wasn't plan ing to survive the plunge. Famous last words: "Here, hold my drink and watch this!"

Definitely a "Here, hold my beer!" moment. Could so easily have been a fatal jump. Maybe the guy has a history as a cliff diver in Acapulco. :)

May have been Einstein who commented that one difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.

I was kind of wondering that too.

The ship was at the pier when he jumped, so I'd expect he thought he'd just climb up a ladder or something. The same logic that got him to jump in the first place probably didn't allow much follow through for how he'd get back on board. What an Idiot.
