I've read in several places that Grand Luxxe Nuevo Vallarta has a meal plan but when I inquired directly about it they said they do not offer one. Is there any rhyme or reason who is offered this option when they check in??

TIA

I just checked out last Sunday and there was a sign on the desk advertising it. Details when I asked 2 weeks ago:

Meal plan info: They have a meal plan which is $1935 MXN for 6 breakfasts, or $5935 MXN for 6 breakfasts+6 lunch or dinner. Regular breakfast buffet pricing is 370 MXN for adults, 185 MXN 6-12, and 110 MXN for 3-5 year Olds.

The discounted vouchers are sold by the concierge on your floor or at the currency exchange desk in the lobby. They may not have understood the term "meal plan".

If you want to split a meal at dinner, you may use one voucher for two people (or two vouchers for three people, etc) -- be sure to ask the waiter if it is still the case.
Note: Some very expensive items on the menu will count as two entrees.

Since breakfast is a buffet, one voucher per person is required.

I posted some menus here:
