Going in ten days on an Interval exchange...what restrictions on exchangers are current?
Will they restrict Beach Club if I don't take tour?
    Any other advice?

With Vidanta you never know. They change things on a whim, it seems.

based on prior posts in this forum - RM Vidanta GL Beach Club has been restricted to owners using their ownership .

<This policy at RM may be more relaxed during low season . >

Not sure what they're doing now, but last winter they were giving access to exchangers if they go to a sales presentation. Up to you if that's worth it.

Yeah...that's the 64K question...is using the Beach Club for 2-3 days worth the annoyance. At PV
they could assign a nicer unit for taking the tour and that was worth it (got a 3BR spa unit).

Anyone been there recently on an exchange??

We were there in July on an exchange. No restrictions. Told beach club was included and the Hamburger Rest was OK as it was not too busy.

I am original poster on this thread and I am at GL now.
Beach Club unrestricted although our concierge shook his head and says things seem to change every week.
Sales folks tried to recruit with a half-hearted offer...almost wanted them to try a little harder before I turned them down.
At PV the sales team upgraded me from a 2BR to 3BR spa unit if I took the tour...which I couldn't say no to.

I feel sorry for the front desk and concierge staff. It must be terribly hard to deal with guests when the policy on access to resort amenities changes all the time!

Glad to hear you have full access. We had a fabulous family vacation there in the fall. Our family LOVED the Beach Club, and I would be disappointed if we couldn't enjoy it on a future exchange.

Just an fyi, we did the tour in July. Had to give a $20 deposit to sign up. I think we got $200 in resort credit. It was a miserable tour. High pressure. Couldn't get out. I would've paid $200 for it to end. Took forever to get our gifts and $20.00. Four stops I think. Great place to exchange but never touring again.
