Grand Islander Penthouse units - None in inventory

Was looking at inventory at Grand Islander, just noticed that there is NOT a single night available for the entire open period. Isn't that a little odd, that there is NOT even one night. This is even out into their home season and not seeing a single day of available inventory for the whole home, club or open period.

I know GI is newer and perhaps they have not sold much of this category so thus there is NO inventory that appears to club members as of yet.

Any other reason why there is NOT a single night available

GI was developed by a third party. I heard that there is one category of Penthouse that was sold differently as fractionals or full condos and/or was retained by the third party. Not sure why it shows up on the inventory list.

Similar to the Grand Waikikian penthouse units, I believe you have to call to reserve.

I believe all penthouse units at Grand Waikikian and Grand Islander were sold as fixed week / fixed room number.

Years ago, I reserved a Grand Waikikian Oceanview penthouse by calling in at the 9 month mark. As we got closer to the check-in date, I called back to see what was available and updated my reservation to an oceanfront penthouse unit.

No sure either, but there are 4 lines of room types that there is ZERO inventory for for the entire year. Why bother even listing it then.

It is not particular to PH, but overall, I was thinking the GI inventory was getting limited over time.
It was April 2017 when I was making reservation for October the same year. I found a good variety of
available units. I think I was able to reserve most of all high end units. Based on my experiences,
we should try new resorts as soon as possible upon the opening.

Calling in is the answer. I was speaking to HGVC about another matter, and asked. They do have inventory it is just in another system. I guess they should add, call to book to the description for these rooms types.
