Hi All,
Excited for my family vacation in two weeks at Marriott Grande Ocean in Hilton Head. Have never been there before and we are excited to experience it for the first time! We have a two year old and a four year old, so will be spending alot of time at the pools and beach, and hoping to do some biking. It sounds like they have two 'classes' of rooms, Oceanfront and 'close to ocean' which likely has less views. We already requested a high floor in hopes of having some ocean views, but wondering if we should request a specific building. Ideally something that had been recently renovated (anyone know which buildings those would be?), otherwise I'd say it's nice to be close to pools, however not looking for too much noice as my kids will be taking naps at some point. Let me know what you think! Thanks in advance!

[The best and the hardest buildings to request are Starfish, Sand Castle, and Sea Horse because they are ocean front. I would call ten days before to the front desk to request Starfish, Dolphin, and Knightfisher. If you are a Marriott owner of any Marriott timeshare, make sure that you tell that person that. Also, note his or her first name when you call back 2 days before to verify the occupancy level, presumbably 98% and amend your request to see what that person is showing as available. I do like Starfish the best because of the balcony views, the computer access is in that building and the closeness to the Pool Bar. If you want to take it easy, relaxed and close to the young kids' onsite toys, then go for the Pelican which is what you will probably get unless your timeshare trade does have some weight. Patrick
