I’m leaning towards asking for intercostal side room. How are the balconies?

Also, what floor do the rooms start on? Are they above a parking garage and check in? Do the intercostal balconies on the first floor have good view of boats going by?

The BP property is all located above the parking, the photographs on their website show it pretty clearly. We've been there many times and are due back in December, but never have stayed on the Intercoastal side but have walked towards the building many times on our morning walk and always wonder what that view is like. I've attached the only photo of that side looking out from their website and I suspect that it is from the highest vantage point. You might want binoculars <g>. That said, there are a lot of vantage points to watch the traffic in the inlet so you shouldn't have a problem. Balconies look the same on both sides of the building. That side of the building is quieter than beachside, that's for sure. Apart from that, my best advice is that on Monday nights the Ritz Carlton next door sells their expensive hamburger with a beer for $10 - the deal of the week. We never miss it.
