55500 points every other year. 14 years ago this cost me 9990 dollars. Kids are grown we just dont travel enough anymore. We already paid the maintenance fees and taxes of 969. This paid for 2019 and 2020 since its only owed every other year. We did use some of the 55500 points . There is 38700 points left for 2019/20.

Amazingly enough, I just met someone who has the exact same type of ownership at Vacation Village at Parkway. EOY, same MF, same number of points. We were in the hot tub here at Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando. She is interested in maybe getting a timeshare that trades in Interval. I wasn't sure if she should maybe look for a new owner for her VVP points weeks, or maybe she'd be better off keeping it and adding another EOY at a second resort. I am very interested in what happens with this giveaway -- please post any further developments here!

Just for clarification, this is odd year usage, so the next use would be 2021, is that correct?

I'm not sure about VV, but other points-based resorts give you x number of points every other year, but you have that year and the next to use them. Some that say you must use them or use them in the issuing year, but you can extend them through the following year. So, with VV, it is all about when the points expire, not when they're issued.

The points system is run by RCI, so RCI (not the timeshare) controls points expiration, extending unused points, borrowing points ahead of the use year, etc.
