Yes. We used, rather than trading or renting, our July 4 week in 2018. Besides the official fireworks a half mile up the beach, several individuals/families put on their own shows (dozens of skyrockets!) right in front of our balcony.

We also enjoyed driving 10 minutes to the restaurant strip in Murrells Inlet. Good food, nice views of the bay--better I thought than the big operations that are even closer along US-17 BUS.
