MF's can be paid semi quarterly (Jan 1, Feb 28, May 31 and Aug 31) at $269.95 or in full in Jan.
Trades with RCI and GPX Vacations (Grand Pacific Exchange which is internal for the Grand Pacific resorts and others)
Your MF's and usage would begin Jan 2020.
Property tax of roughly $65.00 annually is paid to County tax collector.
Transfer can be handled in house with Advanced Financial (they handle MF payments for all Grand Pacific Resorts) with transfer fee of $400 (your cost)
You should be all in for $400 and associated costs for mailing documents to Advanced Fin.

Let me be the first to say howdy neighbor. Lots of construction at Carlsbad Inn. Phase 1 is mostly complete and Phase 2 will begin after Labor Day with demo of the pool and the entire green area. It's going to be a mess for a while but the improvements will be nice once it's finished.

I live a few miles south off La Costa Avenue.

If you can get on the exterior of the buildings like this unit listed, you'll face south toward Carlsbad state beach and will have minimal impact. The green area along with the pool will be torn up. There was a ongoing water intrusion issue into the parking structure and that's not good because the whole resort sits on top of the parking structure. It's a massive water proofing project but the final result will be much nicer.

Outside of Hawaii, north county San Diego is one of my favorite places. Someone that makes regular visits to the area should be able to put this to good use.

Is the unit on the first, second or third level?

Units are numbered 100's first floor, 200's second floor, 300's third floor. Unit 238 is second floor. A transfer has been initiated at this time. I'll update/close the thread once it's finalized.
