Hello, This timeshare has been in the family for over 30 years. It was paid in full, and we've been paying the maintenance fees every year. We no longer have use for the unit. It would be great if someone else could get some use out of it. Barrier Island still has a lot to offer! Contact us with any questions.

Lock-out Unit #810 (A&B): Ground Floor, Looks out to Outdoor Pool

Fixed week 40: (Sunday to Sunday)
• 2019: Oct 6-13

Maintenance Fee:
• 2019 MF has been paid: $780
• 2020 MF has NOT been paid: $830

Usage: First usage for new owner is 2020.

Renovated: This resort was completely renovated and redecorated 2 years ago.

Title Transfer: Seller will pay all transfer fees

Renovated: Exterior recently renovated. Interior needs updating (board voting on upgrades).

Hi, so we were down at Barrier Island this past week and we were able to speak with management on the current status of the timeshares, interior upgrades, voting, etc...

Interior Upgrades:
  • Interior upgrades have been approved and work will begin in the Fall of 2020. Estimated completion by 2022 for all units on the property.
Timeshare Status:
  • Most of the buildings in Barrier Island Resort at Duck, NC are coming up on a cutoff date where the timeshares will revert to "Tenant-In-Common" status if nothing is done. "Tenant-In-Common", which is basically a first-come first-serve basis, is almost impossible to manage and would ultimately result in chaotic headache for everyone. To avoid this, either 67% or 75% (different for each building) of votes are required (in favor) to maintain the timeshare status. If enough votes are received, the timeshare status will remain. The building in unit #810 is scheduled to revert to "Tenant-In-Common" in 2024 if voting does not meet the threshold. Fortunately the building that unit #810 is in currently has enough votes to remain a timeshare.
