We booked flight to MHT, will stay with a friend who lives nearby, then head to Maine. Requested an upgrade at Bethel and 4 other resorts. Hopefully will get upgraded.Thanks for all the travel advice.

Suggest that you try golf in Norway. It's an older course with scenic vistas.We golfed there:) and in Mexico:( We did check out the Sunday River course, but didn't play it Also, Bethel Inn has lake access not far from the resort. Happy hour in the pub downstairs is a good deal. Our week there last June was very rainy so we cut our stay short by a day and headed to the Schoodic Peninsula. We had a studio which was okay except for running & crying youngun's above us.
