At a recent Sunset Harbor owner's meeting the resort manager said the BOD is considering replacing the fountain at the reception office with a FIRE PIT. Isn't that a special treat to enjoy a fire pit in the tropical Key West climate during those 80 F evenings. A fire pit in Colorado or Sedona would be a good idea, but 90 miles from Havana???

If you were staying in any of the 15 units which are within 15 feet of that area, do you think your privacy would be at risk. Even if it is, there wouldn't be any guests toasting themselves at the pit anyway.

If you have any issues with this I'll post the email address for the BOD and the Resort Manager.

For me, I wonder if we could spend more of our MF dollars on amazing downgrades.

Not sure which one is the worst offense - the waste of MF dollars or removing a fountain to put in a fire pit in KW?

Fire pit, a waste of money in Key West imo. I didn't buy on the waterfront of Key West, for a camping experience.

Just be sure the resort manager leaves his home phone number for the guests in nearby units. A fire pit will attract partying groups who could be loud and disruptive to guests nearby .. like those who have an early fishing boat rental.
