We have been 'owners' or whatever we are called at Festiva for years. We do not want this anymore because the maintenance fees have tripled since we first started, and we have tried 5 times to book and found nothing available. We do not owe anything and our fees are all paid up. When we upgraded the last time, we were told by the salesman that Festiva would 'rent out' our points to cover the maintenance fees if we didn't use them. This was a bold lie. It is written in pen on the contract, but is not admissible in court we were told. We have been scammed by 2 different companies now trying to get out of Festiva and need help. I will give my 10500 points away to get out of this nightmare.

Have you given the points away? What are the maintenance fees? How many days/weeks can you get for 10500 points?

Why give away your points? Our June redweek 2BR booking at Cabins at Green Mountain (Branson, 4500 points) just got us a nice 7-night stay via Interval at Marriott Pulse (Custom House) in Boston. We have also had many other good trades. (Only stayed at a Festival resort once...Rangely Lake, Maine, June.)

As an owner in a Festiva Resort (Southcape) I have some sympathy with you on rising fees. What is your resort and is the board controlled by Festiva companies which are not owners of weeks?

We have been owners (6000 points) at Festiva for 10 years. We have no complaints, though we rarely stay with Festiva. We have found that appropriately chosen Festiva units trade quite well with Interval International, and we have gotten our money's worth by going that route...getting 3 good trades every 2 years. If you haven't tried the trading route, perhaps you should give it a shot.
