I was at an owners update today at Westin St John. Sales Rep said that coming very soon is the ability to exchange into Marriott Vacation Club, basically at 8 month mark

Claimed this is a game changer for value. Prices insanely high for new Sunset Bay - $99,500 for 3 bedroom annual 257,700 (or whatever the level is) with $4500 in dues. Crazy expensive.

I find it hard to believe and also a lot more looking to gain reservations at 8 months for good resorts.

Anyone else here this? Very familiar with salesperson bloviating!

I wouldn't buy on that promise and I really wanted believe it until it is actual policy.

There is speculation that Marriott (MVC) will create the ability to trade internally between Vistana and Marriott (Potentially Hyatt too, but less likely as soon), butnothing is for certain. I wouldn’t buy anything from Vistana or Marriott based on what the sales staff says. Nobody knows what’s going to happen, but many do remain hopeful that such a program is created. One question will be regarding what it costs to access such a program. Time will tell. There are other threads that discuss this topic too.

Best regards.

That would be great if we could trade between MVC and Vistana at 8 months. I own in both.

It won’t come without a price. MVW didn’t buy ILG / VSE for free.

I am hoping that the fee will be nominal and even that may drop the way it did for the legacy owners that Marriott wanted to join to help seed the inventory for the club.
