I just stayed Nov 3 - 10 at Grande Vista. I had purchased two getaways in II..... one 2 bdrm. and one studio. Marriott just told me I don't get any points except for incidentals on either reservation. The points are not what I am concerned with.....they also told me the reservations don't qualify for elite nights credit in my Bonvoy acct. either. Is this true?

They would be incorrect. As long as you attach your rewards number you will receive elite nights credit.

The points answer is also incorrect. Every vacation club property stay gets 1,000 points, including II reservations. Not sure if that is based on tier status though but that is what I get.

If you did not add your rewards number and the stay went to someone else's account already then there will be no way to receive the nights credits and points. Some II reservations already have a rewards number attached but most are blank. Even if there is one already attached you can replace it with your own no later than check-out.

As mentioned above, you should get elite nights credit for II getaways. I have always gotten elite nights credit automatically posted to my account when I have the reservation number attached to my Bonvoy account in advance.

You can do it at check-in, check-out, phone to Marriott, email to Marriott, or the easiest by far is to do it yourself. On your Bonvoy account, go to 'My Trips'. Click on 'Don't see your reservation? Search by confirmation number.' A screen will come up to enter First Name, Last Name, Confirmation Number, and Check-in date. For confirmation number, be sure to use the number listed after 'Reservation Number' on the II confirmation, and NOT the number after 'Confirmation'.
(This method so far has not worked for Sheraton or Westin getaways. Hopefully, it will sometime in the future.)

I believe the 1000 points for II getaways is tier specific. I'm Titanium, so I always get the 1000 points.
Also, I really do not know if you should get elite nights credit for 2 reservations for the same dates.

You will only get stay credits/ elite night credits on one stay. Even thought you had two units for the same date.

Since the name "Bonvoy" showed up, I have started to have problems getting credit. After my visit to Newport Coast a few months ago, no credit showed up. I called Bonvoy and person #1 said: no credit because you are a time sharer. Person #2 said the same thing. Their boss, person #3 said: "oops, sure, you get credit".

2 weeks ago I stayed at another Marriott and did get the 1000 point bonus for being Elite, but didn't get any points for my purchases. So, once again I am pursuing getting credit.

This is quickly becoming "OLD". Come on Marriott!!! Get your "stuff" together.
