I have been approached to sell my Vidanta timeshare by Elite Investments. Has anyone used them? Are they legitimate?

Here's a hint: Did they cold call you? Did they offer a large payoff? No one will call (or email) you out of the blue to give you money. If they want to buy Mexican TSs, why not buy them from the developer? Or from eBay for pennies?

It's a scam. There is NO Buyer. They will want some upfront money for ....taxes.....appraisal......fees..... something, then they will disappear. If you got anything in writing (or a website) from them, enter it in a google search verbatim and see how many use the same text.

SCAM
They contacted you = scam .

DO NOT BELIEVE THEM

*******
I have 2 scammer messages on my cell phone from the last week . They both mention a need to rent Vidanta units for a legit convention in 2019 in Cancun .

Then there are the 5 or so numbers ( probably spoofed ) that I saved & tagged SCAM - that said they had buyers etc etc etc .

Not legit

  • Elite investments is a name they made up
  • If they have a website it was created a few months ago, likely a few weeks ago
  • They are not located in Dallas as they have a fake address
  • They don’t want to buy your timeshare. Why would they pay you thousands of dollars when they can get the same thing on eBay for pennies?
  • Any unsolicited phone call out of the blue by a complete stranger offering to give you thousands of dollars will always be a scam, doesn’t matter what the product is.
