Often when we talk things out we find common ground. All three of our current weeks ($1500 in 1992, $300 in 1999, $750 in 2000) are some form of distressed week. They, too are in Colorado, a couple of ski weeks and a summer week. They, too have served us well.

I'm reading this thread tonight from the lodge of one of our $1 eBay timeshares. Next weekend we'll be on Oahu using an exchange from this same $1 eBay timeshare.

We waited 8 months for that deal to pop up ... had already researched the resort ... and knew what we wanted. When we finally found the right auction we were ready to "bid with confidence." ;)

Just traded my .01 ebay for 2300 redweek points, lots of great options for those points.. thinking.......... someplace real warm

Buying on ebay can be a profitable transaction. 14 months ago I bought a Sunny Isles Beach, FL one bedroom ts for $208.50. This month I sold it for $5,000. Can't beat the return on that one!

One discrepency in Maintenance Fees may be exchange rates between various countries...they've been changing a lot.

My EBAY purchase was a 1 BR Gold Crown, March week for $1.50.....but the best part was NO closing costs. $0.00 other fees, nothing, zip, nada!!

They paid $16,000, I paid $1.50

We leave tomorrow morning at 0800:) :)

And by the way, I own time multiple time shares and this will be the first time I've stayed at our home resort (we're traders!, just wish it was cheaper!!)

So far for us: 1 stay at a home resort, 100-plus exchanges.

Guest?

JLB why do you show up as a guest, not a member??

The trip to the Canary Islands was great by the way.....brought back a piece of obsidian from the volcano...and a sun tan!
