Part of the Equivest acquisition, I believe Eastern is the Newport resorts.

That's it. Equivest acquired Eastern (Rhode Island resorts and one in Western Mass) and Fairfield /Wyndham acquired Equivest, kept most of the Equivest resorts and divested some. Time periods were late 1990's and early 2000's.

Of course they are related to Wyndham points. Wyndham manages the resorts. Many original owners of the of fixed and floating weeks assigned usage of those weeks to Wyndham in return for Wyndham points. It wasn't an attractive conversion as in RI especially Wyndham still has limited availability meaning not enough people signed on with Wyndham.
