E-Plus® Now Offered to Marriott Owners
That’s right, Marriott corporate members can now take advantage of the E-Plus benefit, too! E-Plus allows you to re-trade your confirmed exchange up to three times for a low, one-time fee. Click here for more information, or read our FAQs to help answer all of your questions. Additional details can also be found in the Buyers’ Guide.

What? I read this from your link. Retrades to other Marriott properties have been free. Does that now go away? Or is this for non-Marriott trades?

This was posted today by II in their Community > Discussions > Exchange > E-Plus
as a reply to an enrolled Marriott Owner who was now seeing the option to buy E-Plus next to a recently confirmed Marriott to Marriott exchange.

I would think they were still free. The links though link to standard eplus info- nothing specific to a Marriott corporate account. Does this mean one could do a free M to M and then add eplus and retrade into a non M without any additional fees or would it only apply to non M exchanges?

Unless they went out of their way to do the programming, which would be uncharacteristic of II, it probably means you can add E-Plus and then trade into non-M for free. That is how it works right now for a non-corporate account. Initial trade for the lower M-M fee and then trade into non-M for no charge.

This would be a huge plus for enrolled weeks if this is the case. With a corporate account, the exchange fee is still getting paid in some way. Perhaps through some type of arrangement between II and Marriott where II gets a portion of every members DC Annual Fee, or perhaps whenever a trade is made in the corporate account, MVC pays II a set amount to cover that trade. So trades are not really free, we pay them as part of the DC annual fee. I may have the opportunity to try this out in the near future.

If it works, it means an enrolled owner shouldn't have to pay more than $59 for an instant exchange. Trade Marriott to Marriott, add EPlus then retrade in to the non Marriott. It won't work for OGS though.
