This is interesting. It is possible that they are testing to see if they can get more bookings through the concierge collection.

This gives more inventory to the hotel side to rent.

A few years back they were paring back the offerings for cc and also restricting DCL bookings as they could not rent enough DVC rooms to pay for the exchanges.

Perhaps. And I wish I could have participated in this test ;)

However, as life goes, my UY is OCT ... so all remaining points have already been banked and are not available for the "pop-up" period of this tempting benefit. Oh, well. Hopefully, the idea will return for future opportunity.
