Does either RCI or II generally have more units deposited.

In other words is it more likely to get a unit from one rather than the other?

RCI has more resorts in more countries than Interval does, although there's quite a bit of overlap. Whether you are more likely to get a resort from one or the other depends on two things: 1. Does the area you're requesting have more resorts in RCI or in Interval? 2. What are you offering for exchange? The resort you own may have high trading power in one exchange company and moderate trading power in the other.

Both exchange companies have certain restrictions that will somewhat limit the resorts you can get. Some resorts in RCI have a one-in-four rule. In Interval, Marriott and Vistana give preference to people who are trading weeks in those same chains.

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
Also depends on the area and time of year. RCI has certain strengths and II has others.
Can you be more specific about where you are hoping to do an exchange, the time of year, the size of the unit you are looking for and what you are using to exchange with.

RCI has more units deposited. You will find many more units available in RCI for instant exchanges after matches have been made.

Keep in mind quantity does not necessarily make Rci better.

I personally like II much better as they have more quality resorts and they match like for like trades giving me better odds at getting what I prefer as RCI allows you to pay for combining week and thus my high value trading weeks are competing with others who paid for the luxury.

RCI - Disney, Hilton, Wyndham, Worldmark, Holiday Inn
II - Marriott, Vistana, Hyatt

There is a couple of exceptions with dual listed resorts, but if you are wanting one of those resort chains then you will have to look under the right Exchange Company.

II also has better quality non chain members.

Geographic region also comes into play -

Example: New England....RCI has MUCH more inventory than II and most of the top rated resorts are dual affiliated with both.
