Did you over book because of the recent Bonvoy changes?

I booked 4 different 5 night stays for early summer next year in Europe trying to beat the recent Bonvoy changes. As expected, all 4 of the 5 night stays increased after the changes. I just released 1 of the 5 night stays (Budapest Marriott) and will release another after we finalize our decisions. One hotel of my 5 nt stays now shows as sold out (Prague Marriott).

This makes me wonder how many rooms system wide are reserved on a contingency basis and will be released eventually.

I booked a 10 night stay in Paris, and my daughter did also at the same hotel for herself, husband and their darling daughter, my dream of a granddaughter. We have already purchased airfare so we will not be changing our reservations.
Yes, because of the changes we booked sooner then we were going to.
