Deed Transfer Occur but not Resort Transfer Yet Mf Due-how to handle

How would you handle this maintenance fee payment?

I acquired a timeshare for free from a redweek listing. The person is not a tugger.

Lt Transfer handled and on 12/20 sent transfer (deed) occurred and paperwork sent to resort, allow 60-90 days for transfer.

Today the owner sent me a note that maintenance is due feb 15 and he spoke to management and they confirmed they got everything they needed and are processing the transfer, it would take 60-90 days to process. He asked how would you like to handle the maintenance?

I am responsible for the 2018 mf. The right way would have been to send the payment to lt transfer and they send it in as part of the transaction but it never came up.

How should I handle now?

Can you send the MF via LT transfer now and have them handle it? If it should have been part of the process they got paid to accomplish, why not have them accomplish it?

Since the seller paid LT transfer I will ask him to call them to see if they will handle now , protects both of us.

Worked it out. The seller will pay the maintenance fee and I will pay him back when it is officially transferred resort level .
