Question for the experts in Interval trading.
I had an OGS for a 2 Bdrm unit at multiple timeshares in whistler for months with no hits.(my deposit is a 2bdrm park city week#1 lift lodge)
Finally with 2 months till my planed trip, I changed my OGS to a one bedroom and got a hit in one day.
So the question is: Did Interval decide that my TS was not worth a 2 bedroom trade? Seems odd that for 6 months there are no 2 bedrooms available, then when I agree to accept a one bedroom, it is available in a day?

There are several timeshares in popular areas, or with high MF’s, that don’t have larger units come open very often. Owners who want to exchange lock off their units and get 2 exchanges instead of 1. This is assuming the resort Your requesting has lock off units.

It could be a combo, very few 2 bedrooms are deposited in comparison to 1 bedrooms and of the few 2 bedrooms available others that have requested what you requested have higher trade value then you.

The issue is that if there are no 2 BRs deposited at the resorts that you want, you cannot squeeze blood out of a turnip. I own only 2BR Lockoffs and always deposit my timeshare weeks as 2 1BRs or 1 BR and 1 Studio. I have never deposited a 2BR as it is.

Thanks for insights. I called resort and they said they only have one 2 bedroom in entire resort. I guess I will just need to search for two bedrooms with OGS and change to one bedroom as date gets closer. On side note, I never received a confirmation email from II that I had a match. Just figured it out when I was checking out my units on II. This was outside the 24 hour cancellation window. I get plenty of junk emails from II, so I know they have my email. Wonder if it was an honest mistake or not?

The emails probably went to your SPAM folder. Many have reported occasionally misses. You can make a case if it is more than 24 hours before you found out when checking online. The agent may cancel out the match for you.

If the resort that you are trying to put an OGS with only has 1 2BR, you ought to expand your search to include other resorts. Holding out for the rare unicorn sighting is likely unproductive.

Did you ever (often) check available inventory as your 2BR search soaked? I would expect with your immediate match, that 1BRs may have been available. But, Whistler units have been slim in my search through II (for winter), so who knows.

I don't know how to check inventory available at resorts I have an OGS for. Is there a trick I should know?
