I have two deposits now sitting in RCI that expire in 2020. If I should combine them in 2018 I will actually be losing a year since the combination period is the only for 12 months.............is that correct? If I hold on to the deposits the original expiration dates won't change will they?

waiting won't extend the points any longer. The only reason to wait is if you will have the money later in the month or you are waiting for a deposit to add to the combine. The expiration is always the last day of the month so it will be Oct 31, 2019 whether you combined on October 1, 2017 or wait until October 31, 2017. Originally the 2 year offer was to expire September 30 but they announce about a week prior to that date that it was extended until the end of October.

The special right now is an extra year on combines, so they would expire in October 2019. You would lose some time, but have the larger total. If you wait until 2018 it may still expire in 2019 if they don’t run/extend the special again. if you do nothing, your two deposits would still expire in 2020.

The deal has been extended until November 30. 24 month life for the combine instead of the now standard 12 months.

I've been waiting to combine to see if they're going to extend it again to December 31. I love going to the Christmas markets in Europe and would love to get an extra month out of combining. Anyone think they'll do it again? It's already the 21st and they haven't extended it again yet.

Midday Nov 28 - still Nov 30 deadline - So I just combined 4 deposits = 45 TPU / good until Nov 2019

Still no change as of this morning, so I combined the two deposits I had left there. Now I just have to figure out where I want to go in the summer of 2019 to use 67 TPUs.

After cutting the combine time last year from 24 months to 12 months, and raising the cost to combining deposits, a really big thanks to RCI for this limited time fabulous "deal".

I took the deal even though I had one expiring in march and the other expiring in November. These are the lSt of my tpus.

I just was on the phone with RCI weeks people, and they said they all got an email saying it was extended to December 31 now. She couldn't show me anything though, but advised me if I waited until tomorrow to do it, I would get the extra month (with the extra year).

or maybe she was telling you what she thought you wanted to hear. You have no written proof or documentation. Just an RCI's agent say so. RCI agents, like many other low level customer service agents give out incorrect information all the time and I don't know that I would risk losing 11 extra months just to save an extra month.

I'd asked about it being extended and they didn't know, so I did it a few days ago. If they really do extend it, I'm going to ask for that extra month. I love the German Christmas markets!!

Mary, I would call them and cancel the transaction stating it is within 24 hours then do it again with the December date. And also complain that you asked several people who denied the extension.

I pulled the trigger a few days earlier to take the trade into HGVC Scotland as you know.
