Has anyone stayed there? How is it? Is there shopping and dining nearby? Is it necessary to get a car?

The TUG reviews are kind of old, but there are some recent reviews on TripAdvisor. I suppose if your goal is to spend lots of time on the Strip and wanted to use their shuttles, that would be a good way to get to the Strip. Most hotels/casinos charge for parking now so factor that in if you do rent a car. I see in your other posts you're planning a trip to the Grand Canyon so I imagine you'll have a rental car for that.

The area of town where this timeshare is located is an older area with apartment complexes next to this timeshare and across the street from a manufactured housing complex. Do you have any other options from which to choose?

My personal recommendation would be to try for the Grandview. It's location next to the Souhpoint Hotel/Casino is really convenient to a lot of things.

Hi Karen, unfortunately we were limited in our choices because our home timeshare with a fixed week was devastated by two class 5 hurricanes. Since we cannot use it the board gave us RCI certificates and the Club de Soleil looked like the best option. We got a car for the week and will drive down to the Grand Canyon and spend a night at El Tovar.

No problem. I'm sure you'll have a fun trip. There are some good reviews on Tripadvisor for Club de Soleil and since you'll have a car you can explore more of the area such as Red Rock Canyon and Hoover Dam.
