Hi All,
New owner. As you guys know you've saved me probably $20k + since I've been reading for years and bought resale instead of developer (at about 10% of the price).
So I just saw some maintnance fees posted and I want to pay it a little each month until the due date. I will probably do this next year too, monthly, so that I can get away with paying $100 a month instead of $1000 at the end of the year.
Anyway, I just paid a third of my fee and I noticed on my citi thankyou card, the charge comes up as real estate and not a lodging charge (Hilton etc). I know there has been discussions about the hilton branded card, but has anyone with a thank you card successfully gotten three points a dollar on HOA fees? If I don't get the theee point rate, it doesn't pay to use this card, Better off using a 2% cash back card.
Thanks again for all the great advice.
Ari
