has anyone made a claim for charges made on the card? We have to cancel a trip for next week because my husband needs surgery. I went to claimsline.com. The process was a bit confusing. Meanwhile, I had to ask the airline for a refund prior to submitting. I am hoping to get my Chase points back along with my RCI exchange fee.

I am in the process of a trip delay claim being processed. Sent in all info and at the last minute (apparently when a supervisor verifies it) was told the copy of receipts were not all legible. I agree with them now but wish they would have told me that as soon as they were received.

We had to cancel a trip last year because our son needed heart surgery. I agree the online claim form was confusing but I completed it as best I could. The tour operator refunded a percentage based on how far in advance we canceled, and Chase refunded the rest. We were very pleased!

All our charges were $, no points, so I can’t help there exactly. However, last September as a result of Hurricane Harvey we had some flights rescheduled and ended up flying economy instead of 1st class. We had used points for those flights. My husband had to call them a few times but Chase did eventually refund the difference in points.

I am pretty sure they'll refund the Chase points too, as their disclosures say they cover cancellations even if booked partly or totally with points.

Please let us know about how refunding an exchanged timeshare was handled. Thanks.

We bought non-refundable fares to New Orleans, and I was hoping that I could recoup the fare through the Chase Sapphire Reserve trip cancellation insurance. As part of the claim form, we had to show that we filed a claim with the airline. So I applied for the refund, and uploaded the MD notes that hubby was having heart surgery 2 days before the trip.
Today, I received an email that American had refunded us!
What a great surprise.
Now I am hoping that Chase will refund me the $239 for the RCI fee. I paid $99 to reinstate my 30 TPUs.
