Has anybody bought marriott point ownership through ebay auction with a company called The timeshare group in florida ? seems to be selling at $ 1.80 per point ?
Just remember many of the eBay transactions are from companies who charge the selling owner an upfront fee which may be bundled into the price submitted for ROFR. So for a 1000 point sale, if the fee was $1000, the real submittal price would equal $3.50/point. Unless we know the upfront fee and what was actually submitted, it could effect the price MVC made their decision on.
It's my understanding that the $1.80 you were quoted doesn't factor in MVC ROFR which I understand is around $4.00 per point. Also, I'm always concerned about signing a contract with an entity other than MVC. What's to prevent MVC from deciding not to honor it down the road. Guess I worry too much.

I'm going to vote no, I personally don't think it's a good deal, I think it's just OK. I think you can get more points and have lower (at least per point) dues). If I'm understanding correctly the dues on the legacy week would give come in at about 50¢ pp but when you add in the points, you're at around 55-56¢ pp overall current dues. If you talk to internet sales, St. Kitts or Aruba directly you can likely get a better overall deal long term. I'm assuming you do not own other Marriott weeks but I think the answer would be roughly the same either way. As a minimum I think you can get a better week for the legacy week.
How do you get in touch with internet sales (St Kitts/Aruba). I've been offered the bundles at both these locations but have not made the jump. (We own weeks and DC). Is that someplace I can get the same deal at a lower cost? Thanks

I made contact for Aruba while there but I'm sure there are many contacts options that members here could provide for you. I am certainly happy to give you email addresses privately. I get no compensation, just trying to help but I would not be comfortable posting them publicly. I'm not sure how it'd work for a bundle though but it's worth asking. My guess is internet sales is the best option for that situation.

I worked with corporate sells in Utah to get my two week hybrid. I can share it with you if you would like. I was able to get Aruba and/or St. Kitts from them. I chose Aruba and another resale week. I would PM my person that I used if you would like.
Is this correct? I know 10/31 is extended election deadline but I thought extended deadline to bank went from 6 months prior to end of Use Year to 4 months prior.

I actually have spoken with them. Thought the reference was to a different internet sales site. Always looking for a better deal. Thanks, though, for your response.
