Busy, busy or phone company trouble? [Grand Mayan Riviera]

Good morning everyone,
I just joined TUG- great site! I am trying to make a February reservation at my newly purchased Grand Mayan Riviera TS. I have been dialing the 1-800-away i go number non-stop for 3 hours now and I either get an auto message stating that the phone company is having trouble or I get a fast busy signal. Is this normal? Thanks for your help! - Kathy

PS Sorry- I just noticed I have this in the wrong forum. I will re-post my question elsewhere.

August 1 is the first day you can book February reservations and the phone lines will be jammed pretty much all day. This is the norm. I used to have rhe 1-800# on speed dial when we traveled in February. Now that we live in AZ, we go at other times of the year.

The online reservation site will be jammed too.

Welcome to TUG - you will learn a lot about timesharing and the GM.

Welcome to the Grupo Mayan family too! The resorts are wonderful.

Read the Newbie Needs Help with Mayan Palace Regency thread that has bee running the past week or so. Most of the information will apply to the Grand Mayan also.
