Hello, we are traveling to Branson for 2 weeks in mid-March 2017. I'd like to stay where there is a large indoor pool to swim laps. The resort pages often don't show the indoor pool. We'd like to see some beautiful country scenery, go on a few short drives, and spend time outdoors golfing, walking, hiking. A boat ride if not too cold. We may visit a show or two once or twice.

Can someone recommend a RCI resort for us to stay? Considering Wyndham Mt. Vista/Meadows/at the Falls, Worldmark so far, but more info needed. We are in our mid-60s and stairs are o.k. with us.

Thank you. We are new to TUG.

Pool for Laps

Haven't heard from anyone yet...should I just call all the RCI resorts and ask about their pool? I'm looking for a fitness-sized pool to swim laps in in Branson in mid-March 2017. thank you.

Really don't know anything about Branson, but would advise you to look for a YMCA or community rec center in the area that has a lap pool. We had two swimmer-athlete kids in the family, so they always needed to swim laps at some point on vacations. Easier to find the lap pool at a community rec center. I don't believe we ever found a resort that would have met their needs.

Can't think of too many options for you. You mentioned the Wyndhams (they share two indoor pools, located at Mt View and the Meadows), and I can think of the Suites at Fall Creek also. However, each of those pools are kinda on the small side for doing laps.

I am a lap swimmer too and we have been to both those Wyndham's and I assure you that Mountain Vista has the better indoor pool. The Meadows pool is quite small.

I agree that Wyndham Mountain Vista pool is bigger than Wyndham Meadows. The biggest indoor pool I've seen in Branson is at Holiday Hills, once Silverleaf, now Holiday Inn Vacation Club. This resort is not on the strip, it is a 15-20 minute drive. Near the Branson Landing. I have stayed at this resort many times. You definitely want to get a 6/6 unit. They are MUCH nicer than the 6/4s. A 4/4 would be fine for a couple. A good thing about this resort is it is usually "cheap" in terms of TPU, Extra Vacations and often available for Last Calls.
