I am planning on booking a four night stay at a specific resort in a 3 bedroom later this month, but there seems to be very limited availability. I can only book 9 months ahead of my checkout date. Should I book the 3 nights one day earlier and then add the fourth night the next day if I am worried that it may not be available. If so how do you actually add the other day. Do you have to call and add the extra day, or can you do it online, and will it cost me extra money.
    Thanks

It is called "walking a reservation". Book the three days and then changing/adding to put on the additional days as they become available.

When you book a reservation online it is considered a "changeable" reservation, which has no additional fee to alter it, by adding additional days or changing it to a different reservation all together. Just be aware of cancellation rules if your checkin is within 31 days.

3BR units are rare, and anyone with Home season can pick it off become it becomes available to you.

There is a change feature online to adjust, allowing you to move or add another day. If you look for your reservation under your reservation list, you will find that option available to you. Now, I will warn you that sometimes, the change on-line feature doesn't work for adding another day. This has been documented many times. So, if it doesn't allow you to add the next day, then call customer service and they will handle it for you for free.
