Best Concept Albums: 25 Classics That Will Blow Your Mind
By Brett Milano/ Features/ UDiscoverMusic/ udiscovermusic.com

"Funkateers, country stars and punks contributed to the best concept albums in music, proving that prog rockers didn’t entirely own the concept of concepts.

Concept albums are most often associated with prog rock and the 70s, since epic LPs really did flourish in that era. But prog rockers didn’t completely own the concept of concepts. As this list shows, funkateers, country artists and even punks got into the act, often with grand results. Here are just a few of best concept albums from over the decades....."

If we're going to list omissions, there's these:
Sgt. Peppers and Pet Sounds -- the originals.
David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust
Moody Blues' Days of Future Passed
Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon
Queen's A Night at the Opera
... and of course, The Who's Tommy.

I always considered The Who's "TOMMY" the ultimate concept album.

Moody Blues for me. Toke and tunes in the 70's. Seems like yesterday. We were fortunate to be there.

Alan Parson's Tales Of Mystery and Imagination.

Especially the CD version with Orson Wells' restored narration.

:headslap: How could I forget Blue Oyster Cult's Imaginos !!!
