I received a match today for Bay Gardens Beach Resort in St Lucia (thru II) for next April.

It is for a studio with no kitchen facilities. The exchange requires an AI purchase which is OK. Although I don't care for them my hubby likes them for the convenience and since it is for his birthday I can go with it this time.

My question is....

Has anyone exchanged in to this resort and what is the room/view like? I contacted the resort and they indicated that all exchanges are "garden view". I will be OK with a garden view but don't want a parking lot/dumpster/something similar view.

I only have until the end of today to decide if I'm going to take it or not so any advise would be appreciated!

I received the same call today for the same resort for a different week.
I just got off the phone with Vistana and refused the trade.

Everything about it sounded great until they wanted about $2600 for the mandatory AI. That's about $370 for 2 pp/day. Even if we had $200 per dinner for 7 nights, that would only be $1400 and we won't drink $1200 worth of alcohol 4 sure. Too much $ for us so we continue to wait.
