I received this from my closing company:

"Great News! We have received the recorded deed from the county and we are now processing the documents required by the resort to notify the resort of the legal transfer and request the resort to update their books accordingly.

The resort can take approximately 90 days to process the paperwork and acknowledge the transfer. Unfortunately, we do not control the resort's timing but we will be following up with them. We will send you a final letter confirming the transfer acknowledgment once we receive the acknowledgement from the resort."

I don't want to lose my 2018 points and I know I'd need to save them by December 31, 2018. Is there any way to contact the resort to expedite this?

Are you certain there are 2018 points to be rescued?

About 7-10 days after the docs are submitted, you can call customer service to get your member #.
With that, you can go to the member website, create an online account and save the points (if any).

Thanks! Yeah the documents had been submitted but lost apparently, I gave them the tracking # and they found them today. I appreciate it.

Whoops!
Bay Club may transfer your membership quickly, but membership in HGVC is not automatic, so enrollment will likely take longer than 7-10 days. You'll need to work with their HGVC rep to get it expedited.

When I bought an affiliate, I called the resort's HGVC rep to speed it up.
It took about two weeks.

Then... call Club Member Services - 800-932-4482.
and go to https://club.hiltongrandvacations.com/en/login#/index
.

I assume your contract includes 2018 points? I have two Bay Club weeks and one is enrolled in the club and one I did not enroll. Before I could convert to points I had to enroll in the club which I did with one of the weeks. The week not enrolled I use at the bay club exclusively. The fee to enroll a week was $732.00. The charge is $366.00 per interval and they count an annual week as an odd and even interval so you pay twice. With that said maybe your week is different or you paid the enrollment fee in escrow and it will be enrolled at the end of the process. The process for me to enroll happened fairly quickly after closing.
