I saw an ad on redweeks.com for a 2 bedroom unit in Bay club big island Hawaii, floating week 1-50. When I asked the seller how many HGVC points will I get if I enroll it into HGVC, he replied that the unit cannot be enrolled into HGVC. Does anyone know why some units in the Bay club cannot be enrolled into HGVC? What is the rule? Thanks in advance

That does not make sense. Bay Club is an optional location you have to pay the fee to join, but all units are allowed AFAIAA. I owned Bay Club then HGVC took over management. I converted my weeks.

It just might be that they are not aware you can do that.

I'd contact the HGVC sales-rep at Bay Club.
AFAIK, they'd be happy if it was 100% HGVC.
HGVC treats Bay Club as one of its own.

I attended an owner update at Kings Land last week and they told me that our Bay Club timeshares are no longer eligible to be enrolled into HGVC.

You were talking to sales. I doubt that is true. Call Bay Club to ask not sales at KL.

Total lie. Never believe anything a salesman says -- his only motivation is to sell you more points. He was trying to make you think you had to buy at Kingsland (where he gets a commission) vs. Bay Club (which is not in active sales, so no commission) in order to get more points.
