We will be at the Avenue Plaza the week of Oct. 8- 15. I read a while back about nearby parking garages that were cheaper than the resort's fees. Can someone give me the details? Thanks in advance!

Don't let them come to your room with a welcome gift. Lobby was packed when we were checking in and thought the come-to-room was to relieve some of the congestion. Turns out to be a timeshare presentation and the gift was two wine glasses we didn't want. Finally held the door for the gal at 90 minutes (we were slow to catch on) and ordered her out of our room. (And if you've heard this story from me before, yes, I will bring it up every time Avenue Plaza is mentioned. Freaking unbelievable tactics, if you ask me).
If you are an owner parking is cheap at avenue plaza ($12). And at $25 for non owners it's still pretty cheap
If that's too much you can probably find free parking on a street in the neighborhood behind the building
