So...I have jury rigged a solution to the problem of waking up my DW in the middle of the night. Does anyone know a better solution to the problem of Ko Olina's master bathroom automatic light switches? TIA

Thank you both for your ideas...perhaps when we head into Kapolei I'll buy the necessary equipment.

I was hoping that someone out there knew a 'magic' combination. Press the button three times quickly, three longs, and then three shorts again...or something along those lines... ;-)

For now I'll manage with the tissue box cover and trash can.

i have not made it to Ko Olina yet, the bathroom lights have a motion sensor? Sounds really annoying.

Do any of the other resorts have these?

Breaker box? Flip the switch.
The one annoying thing we've found about our otherwise wonderful dedicated 2BR at Ko Olina is that the 'guest' powder is the master bathroom not a separate powder (like Bay Club), nor a separate bathroom (like HHV), nor the 2nd BR's bathroom (like Waiohai).

So the sun sets and we need to allow people into 'our' bathroom (with lights). Then we go to bed and I have to 'turn off' the lights for the night. Then I iterate...

Get some tape from front desk and a piece of paper. Fold paper to cover sensor then tape over it. Works for us.

Not all rooms have the sensor. Seems like the newly remodeled rooms have taken the sensor out and replaced it with a switch. The mirrors are smaller and now have lights on the ends. Will post a pic when I get back tonight of the bathroom lights and new switch.

buy some black electrical tape and cover the whole device;
plus at the end of the week , the black electrical tape will come off with no sticky
problems. I used it all time in hotels & ts resorts.
